- In general, more men than women are alcohol dependent or have alcohol problems.
- Contributions from the National Beer Wholesalers Association (NBWA) account for nearly 40% of the $4 million that was contributed to federal candidates and parties in the 2006 election cycle by the alcoholic-beverage industry.
